If you have children who requiring amusement and exercise, try taking them to the Wild Animal Refuge Park. It is about four km outside of Kitzbühel. It is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. You can even take your lunch and have a picnic. Alternatively, there is access to a café or small restaurant.

The Wild Animal Refuge in Aurach is not a petting zoo. Although you can touch and even feed certain animals, this is not the main concept of the facility. This Wildpark has some 200 animals within the confines of around 40 hectares. It is the biggest open-air facility in the Tyrol region of Austria. A tour conducts you through the various areas. You will observe animals in enclosures. There are also free-range facilities where animals run without fenced interference or immediate contact with humans. On a trip to the Wildpark, you have the possibility of seeing wild boars, deer, wild ducks, ibex, marmots, peacocks, pheasants, yaks and zebus
