If you are in Austria in the summer, head for Schladming in Styria. It offers marvelous opportunities to take long hikes. In and around the town, you can find an amazing amount of paths from which to choose. In total, there are some 500 km of trails to follow. One of the newest is the path called Wild Waters.”

Wild Waters is a 12 km trail. It is a good path to take even if you have children. This is even safe and possible for those with baby buggies. This makes it easier for those with infants and for those with toddlers. A sports-type buggy is the best to use on this and most trails. It is better able to sustain the occasional tough spot. The reason to take this trail over others is the Riesach Waterfall. You can see the water drop from a height of 140 meters. Follow the river to reach an Alpine trail. From here, you follow a course along the canyon staying near the Riesach River. If you keep following the trail, you will reach Obere Gfölleralm.
