The Ski and Glacier World Zillertal is a stopping off point for many skiers and summer tourists. In the middle of this region, you will find the small villages of Tux and Hintertux. These two communities comprise an active hub for skiers in the Tux Valley. One of the reasons for this is the Hintertux Glacier (Hintertuxer Gletscher).

The Hintertux Glacier keeps skiing viable for a longer time. In fact, you can ski all year long. You can take a gondola up to the Glacier. From here, at 3,250 meters above sea level, you get amazing views of the Alpine mountains around you. From here, you can see the Dolomites, the Karwendal Mountains and the Grossglockner Peak. You can choose to ski here, following the so-called Glacier Circuit. This is a 72 km run. You can also simply take a ride up for the views. The Hintertux has 21 cable cars and ski lifts to help you reach the slopes of your dreams.
