The National Park Hohe Tauren is a nature preserve in the Alps. It is the largest of its kind in the Alpine Region. There are many things to see as you wander through its pristine green wilderness. One of the most impressive displays of the power of water is the Göβnitz Waterfall. Water falls from a height of 80 meters, cascading down the side of an eroded gorge in the Göβnitzal Valley. You can reach it by taking the Stitchweg Trail. Another trail you can wander is the Jungernsprung Water WonderTrail. It leads you in a circular fashion to the Junfernsprung Waterfall. You can stand on a lookout platform just above the falls to achieve a truly awe inspiring look at the power of nature as the water drops some 130 meters. From this trail, you can wander back to Heiligenblut.
