As the years progressed, so, too, did the hospital adding annexes and departments. It was not, however, until 1964, that the decision was made to erect a new facility. Between 1964 and 1971, the Vienna General Hospital embarked on a revolutionary pattern of growth and improvement. They added new clinics and improved their technology. There were clinics in pediatrics, child and adolescent neuropsychiatry and even a day care facility. The official opening took place in June 1994.
