The Acevi Villarroel Barcelona is a great hotel in the fabulous city of Barcelona. This four star hotel has 84 guestrooms and suites for guests to enjoy comfort and style. The rooms are decorated in a popular and simple minimalist style with wooden floors and green marble bathrooms. The Acevi Villaroel Barcelona is located in an attractive area; the smart Eixample district of Barcelona, it is within five blocks of the many boutiques, shops, restaurants bars and attractions which Barcelona has to offer.
Only two blocks from the hotel is the nearest metro station, Urgell and nearby (only seven blocks away) you will also find Passeig de Gracia, with its famous Gaudí-designed streetlamps, paving and architecture. This is one of the most famous and popular areas of the city of Barcelona. The hall ways are muggy and smell a bit off, bath tub/shower is really slippery, there are no instructions as to how to dial the front desk, front desk staff quality varied greatly.... some real good, others so-so. i had an unexpected visitor come to the hotel who was suppose to call me. instead he showed up, the front desk gave out my room number to him, and he showed up in the morning unannounced at my hotel room door. not good! The acevi villarrroel hotel in barcelona was an awesome hotel, from the moment we walked in we were very impressed with the hotel and could not have found a better place to stay. i usually stay in hostels but i would recommend this to all travellers to barcelona. i will definately be back. it is just far enough out of centre of town to escape hustle and bustle..Eamonn Pitts
