Apartments Guardia is located in the city centre, just 5 minutes from Las Ramblas. Access to public metro of Barcelona and main stations is only 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel. The apartments are located 100 meters away from Las Ramblas and the seafront. Gaudi museum is just a few steps away from the apartments. Plaza Catalunya and the Born area are 10 minutes walking distance from the apartments and the gothic quarter is across the road. You can not be more central in Barcelona than where we are. The apartments are located at walking distance from all tourists attractions, such as the Cathedral, Port. Gothic quarter, lots of restaurants and bars.

These fully equipped apartments are centrally located and stylishly furnished, with a lovely terrace on top of the building ideal for sunbathing and preparing a barbecue.* Guests must call at least 30 minutes prior to arrival to arrange key pick up in front of the apartments. If not, once you are in front of the building, please call one of the numbers provided and the person in charge will be with you in 5 minutes. * Check in time is from 15:00 to 24:00 (To check in between 24:00 and 8:00, please contact the property directly and there is a charge of € 27.-). If you arrive earlier you can leave the luggage there with no problem. * There is a deposit charge per apartment on arrival of € 100.- payable in any currency and always in cash.

Calle Guardia is parallel to Las Ramblas and the apartments are just a few steps away from Gaudi Museum.
By metro: The closest metro station is, Liceu, which is on Las Ramblas. (8 minutes from the apartments)
From Liceu station, you will have to walk down towards the sea until you find ¨Carre Nou De La Rambla¨ Street on the right.
Walking down Carrer Nou de La Rambla Carrer Guardia will be the second street on the left.
By plane: Guests arriving to Prat airport are recommended to get a taxi in case there are 4 or more people as getting 4 bus tickets to the city centre would almost cost € 25.00 which is equal to the taxi costs.
Guests who are less than 4 people are recommended to get the ¨aerobus¨, which is the cheapest way to get to the city centre; Plaza Catalunya for about 4€ per ticket.
On foot: From Plaza Catalunya, you can walk down Las Ramblas untill you get to ¨Carrer Nou de La Rambla¨ or get the metro to Liceu station and follow the directions provided before.

ideal location
we didn't experience any problem with noise (we had a basement apartment at the rear) - it may possibly have been noisier at the front - some separating walls are also thin but it wasn't a problem for us
I think the apartments vary a little in size and layout - ours was certainly different from the picture - it had no outside window or balcony but the basics were as described - i think we would consider booking the apartments again were we to return to barcelona Robert Devaney

We arrived at the apartments guardia after calling the day before to confirm and calling when we were 30 mins away as requested (on train from airport), only to be told that they were overbooked! they the staff took us across town (about 5 minutes, to carrer d'avinyó) to another apartment which was very well appointed, but not quite finished (only very minor finishing required). the same thing happened to a hen party and they wanted us to share the appartment (kitchen, lounge etc) with the party?! to get to our bed room we had to walk through another (albeit unoccupied). it seems as though a very wide corridor had been converted into two bed rooms! considering we had booked a studio this was totally unnacceptable. the philino staff tried to get hold of the boss on the phone, but she wasn't answering. eventually and begrudgingly they offered us a separate apartment (which was actually joined by one of the coridor bedrooms, but could be closed off by locking the door, but we did not know this until the next day. we managed to speak to the boss the next day who explained we could have the apartment to ourselves, but refused to offer any discount for our inconvenience claiming that because the apartment we had was much larger and more luxurious this balanced out the inconvenience of the over booking and being moved to a different apartment. a bad experience altogether. Booked 3 rooms altogether for 14 guests, on arrival had 1 studio for 2 and 1 apartment for 6, they had given away our extra room. not a very organised apartment and we were still not given all appropriate sheets and covers to go around until the night before we left. Clare Allen

Very friendly and helpful staff, took the time to give us a map and mark good places to eat/tourist attractions on it. also stored our luggage after check out on the last day so we didn't have to drag it around the city. room clean and kitchen well-equiped. hotel in brilliant location, just off la rambla on a well-lit and safe street.
The only windows are into the internal courtyard, safe and hairdryer were advertised but not present. Amy Close
