Each shared apartment has 5 private lockable rooms, (one flat has 5 private twin rooms, and the other has 1 private single, 3 private twins and 1 private triple.) Both apartments also have a fully equipped kitchen, 2 showers and 2 toilets for all guests to share. The property supplies all bed linens, pillows and towels.
If you want a private room in the city centre, and be able to walk to lots of shops, pubs & clubs, restaurants & cafes, then we highly recommend you to book a room in Apt. Balmes.

NO RECEPTION AREA: The management office hours are every day from 9 am to 9 pm. It is mandatory that you call the apartment when you arrive in Barcelona and before you arrive at the apartment in order to receive your exact check-in time.

All rooms are non-smoking and fully equipped with locking doors, large closets, sheets, towels, duvet comforters, and central heating. Please understand that when you reserve a twin room you be staying in any of the twin rooms the apartments offer. The rooms are allocated regarding they are available at the moment you arrive. PLEASE NOTE: There is no reception area in the apartments. Their office time is from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm Monday to Saturday and 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on Sunday. It is mandatory that you call Soho Studios when you arrive in Barcelona before you go to the apartment to receive your exact check in time. Late check-in's are subject to be charged a fee.
Payment will be made on arrival in cash (Euros only). Credit cards are not accepted. Apt. BALMES kindly asks you to type your first name and your estimated arrival time to the apartment in the 'Remarks/Request' box when you make the reservation.
Reservations for Apt Balmes have to be cancelled 48 hours before arrival date. Please take into account that the date of arrival starts at 0.00 am (CET). Every booked room which is not cancelled in time, will be billed at a cost equivalent to the rate of the first night by the hotel. Your credit card details are therefore only required to guarantee your booking up to your arrival at the hotel and your card will not be charged by EasyToBook.com. Payments have to be made to the hotel.

How to reach the hotel?By metro: Take the red metro line 1 or the purple metro line 2 to 'Universitat' station or take the red metro line 1 or the green metro line 3 to 'Catalunya' station. From there, walk to the corner of Balmes and Ronda Universitat to reach the hotel.
From Barcelona Airport: Take the Areobus to Placa Catalunya. From Placa Catalunya it is approximately 8 minutes walking distance to the other side of Placa Catalunya and the corner of Balmes and Ronda Universitat. Walk towards the large OPEL sign that is located above Placa Catalunya.
From Sants train/bus station: Take the green metro line 3 to the 'Catalunya' station. Walk to the corner of Balmes and Ronda Universitat to reach the hotel.
From 'Estacio del Nord' bus station: Take a taxi to the corner of Balmes and Ronda Universitat or take the metro to the 'Universitat' stop.

The apartment was very central, you leave the front door and you're in the thick of the excitment of barcelona. marcelo met us and was very welcoming, helpful and informative about the area. the apartment was basic but had modern facilities and although there were 5 rooms sharing a kitchen and 2 shower rooms there was never any queues to use the facilitiesAs it was so central the apartment was noisy from traffic outside but that is a small price to pay for being so central and not having to travel into the city.24 Sep 08

Had a fantastic time at apartment balmes. fab location. excellent facilities. spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. also had a balcony(didn't mention). exceptional value for money. would book again. thankyou.08 Sep 08
Not much to it, a room, 2 beds. kitchen, barhroom.... good accomodation overall. perfect if you are going away with a friend.Not the right place for a romantic getaway, so if you want that go to a hotel. 25 Aug 08

The housekeeper comes everyday to clean the kitchen and 2 bathrooms.2 bathrooms for 5 double rooms is perhaps not enough. there should at least be a washbasin in the room. inside the room; the floor was a little bit dusty.08 Sep 08

Bon accueil du mandataire, appartement à un bon endroit pour visiter l'ensemble des sites touristiques.
