Apartment Gran Central Inn is located in a modernist building in the city centre, on the edge of the old town and just a short walk to Las Ramblas, Plaza Catalunya, the Born, Arc de Triomf and the beach, making it a perfect location for all visitors to Barcelona.
Especially popular with backpackers, young professionals, couples and small groups of friends, the Gran Central Inn offers quality on a budget private rooms blending the best of old and new design.
Classic high ceilings, turn of the century mosaic tile floors blend together perfectly with the modern luxuries of new comfortable beds, modern bathroom facilities, (some) en-suite rooms, air conditioning, central heating, etc.
Unlike the typical pensions and guest houses, at the Gran Central Inn the guests have the freedom to come and go whenever they choose - there is no curfew or lock-out. Guests are encouraged to avail of the state-of-the-art kitchen, perfect to cook breakfast, lunch or even an evening meal before heading out on the town.
A cleaning lady visits daily to ensure the place is in tip-top condition for all guests and there is central heating and air-conditioning* (*in some rooms). The pleasant common area with table and chairs creates a comfortable and friendly atmosphere where guests can get to meet each other and plan nights out together.
Right below the Gran Central Inn there is a traditional Spanish bar-restaurant and in the vicinity are lots of restaurants, bars and clubs, designer clothes shops and discount stores making it the perfect location for some last-minute shopping.

Take the Metro L3 (Green) to CATALUNYA.

The room was clean, and also tha bathroom was good. the kithcen is well equiped, but the electric kettle is missing. the best about this apt. is its location - really near to the centre - about 5-10minutes.The common rooms were dirty - near the kitchen - really mass, there is no wireless internet and no air condition, as its written in information about the apt.Anonymous

If you simply need somewhere to sleep and do not plan to spend any time at the hotel, this place is an ok choice, there are still much better out there for a little bit more moneyThe "wifi" that is offered is not free. i honestly would not recommend this hotel to any one, but since i have no option of no one, i would select young singles since they may be more forgiving about the short-comings of the hotel.Bouzek

The hotel was conveniently located and particularly inexpensive.The entrance to the hotel has a strong smell of sewage. we had booked a nicely decorated room with three single beds. instead we were given a room with 4 bunkbeds that resembled a child's bedroom. when we questioned this, we were informed that the room we had booked was unavailable but not to worry they wouldn't charge us the extra cost for a room that was, in my opinion, of much inferior quality! we had been warned of shared bathrooms, not ensuite. fine. however the bathroom had no shower curtain and clogged shower drain; the bedroom was infested with something and we left from our stay with bites. this is a very inexpensive hotel and not worth the money that we paid.Anonymous

When arriving there i was surprise to see that they were expected 7 people, when the booking was made only for 5 persons (so therefore i had to pay an extra room that i didn't booked). please double check your system cause it doesn't work properly (the booking was made only for 2 rooms: one suite and one double, cause one triple wasn't available anymore).

The location is perfect: 10 minute walk to placa catalunya and near 2 different metro stops. the building is an older apartment building and it has an elevator! it was very clean and my room was on the interior of the building (which is good the busy boulevard was noisy!). the bathrooms looked brand new as well as the communal kitchen.The room was tiny but because we only slept in the room it wasn't a huge deal. the sewage pines are on the external part of the building so you heard the water running everything somone took a shower or used the toilet.Anonymous
