Description
This elegant, comfortable and cosy Bed & Breakfast Muntaner, located in a neo-classic building, enjoys an enviable situation in the centre of Barcelona, only steps away from Plaza Catalunya and Las Ramblas.
Seven extensive double rooms with their own bathroom, and access to the kitchen where a tea, a coffee or cool rink, can be prepared at any time without additional cost and with all the necessary utensils, so that they feel as comfortable as at home
The comfort and the rest are assured in this apartment, because of the tranquillity of the zone and the amplitude of the individual beds (1,35m of wide) like of the doubles (1,50m).
All the rooms have the great luminosity that provide their windows with views to the Muntaner street, one of most outstanding of the city, or to the ample and calm inner patio, so characteristic of the constructions of the zone of the Eixample.
White is the colour that predominates in the decoration of the splendid rooms that compose the apartment as well as in the kitchen and rooms, a tone that reaffirms the cleaning, the prevailing order and comfort.
Like counterpoint, the apartment decorated with pieces of baroque furniture - small tables, and armchairs, that give it with a noticeable style and own personality.

Excellent location, very clean and owner very helpful. breakfast acceptable - eggs/toast/ham/cheese - tea/coffee.Room very restricted due to 'added' bathroom (12 x 7 feet living space) no outside space, tv, radio or wardrobe/cupboard (only hanging rail)window opened to inner courtyard. room poor!Anonymous

Only there is one positive thing about hotel, location, near centre. The breakfast was not for grown people but for kids, room smells awful,the hotel staff didn't change towels in room at all as we stayed for five days.this hotel i wouldn't recommend to nobody. Susan Clough

We were very happy with the muntaner on our arrival. it was bong's first day and he made us feel welcome. he explained about breakfast and after completing some paperwork we were shown our room. it was lovely, very clean and it looked newly decorated. the en-suite was lovely too. we thought there was going to be a tv in the room but instead there was an air conditioning machine which was much better! the breakfast/tv area was very clean and welcoming with two lovely comfortable sofas. overall, we felt the muntaner offered value for money which was in an excellent area which allowed us to see all of the attractions which barcelona is famous for. we'd definitely go back!The only negative point to comment on was that our room and en-suite wasn't cleaned whilst we were there, we had to ask bong for toilet roll and replacement towels but he was more than happy to supply us with these and it didn't spoil our stay one bit.J. Good location, the staff were friendly and helpful.Poorly advertised, almost impossible to find this 'hotel', had to ring the hotel in the end. it was a glorified hostel, the thinnest walls imaginable, it was advertised as a hotel but was actually a mix of hostel-cum-apartment, no tv in room, no desk, two double beds?! Made to feel very welcome, told to make it home from home. the rooms were very clean and well decorated, and the staff member could not have been more helpful.We booked to stay there on the 5th and 6th march but it was double booked and we were put into an inferior room without breakfast and only deducted 10 euro each.Anonymous

Staff were extremely helpful and friendly.When i booked, it was at a discount of 80%, if i had paid the full price i would have been extremely disappointed! my answers are based on the €90 a night that i paid.

Alfred the member of staff who was working at the apartment was really helpful and gave us loads of information. he made us feel at home. the apartment was in a great location as it was within walking distance of most of things we wanted to see. A bedside table would have been good!Jacek

The room was clean
the hotel is very well situated near a metro and bus station
the hotel staff was very helpfull. he recommended sites we could see, and kept safe our luggage for many hours the last day of our stay, since we had to leave the room at 11 o'clock in the morning and we left the town at 7 o'clock in the afternoon. Very very bad sound insulation - difficult to get some sleep during the night.
you could not have a choice concerning the heating of the room. in fact there was no heating of the room at all
late at night (around 12 o clock) there was no hot water in order to take a shower, after your day out
in the bathroom there was a very very noisy apparatus for collecting the tab and shower water from our room and from some other rooms as well!!!
there was no tv in the room. in the internet site the information was different sinced it showed tv in all rooms!!!
