This B&B is located in one of the main avenues in Barcelona, a route that has its origin in the urban layout of the Roman city. Via Laietana directly leads to the sea and beaches. The Hostel is located a few meters away from the neogothic Barcelona cathedral and from the exceptional Palau of Music.
Also a few minutes away are Picasso Museum and the gothic basilica of Santa Maria of the Sea, in the fashionable district of the Born, that counts with a great variety of stores, restaurants and bars that enjoy a great night atmosphere. On the other hand, Paseo de Gracia, Las Ramblas and the tourist and commercial city centre are also a few minutes walking.
Public Transprot: Metro stations Urquinaona (L1 and L4) or Jaume I (L2 and L4). Numerous buses in Via Laietana. Walking 5 minutes is the station of RENFE in Plaza Catalunya, with trains and buses to the airport.

Our street Via Laietana is one of the main avenues in the city and connects Plaza Catalunya with the port. The closest metro station to the hostel is Urquinaona Line 1 (red line) or Line 4 (Yellow line). (5 minutes from Hostel).Coming out of the station and walking down Via Laietana towards the sea, you will find us on the left hand side just after the police station.
Our Hostel is at the bottom floor of Via Laietana 46, prpal 2º and guests must ring the bell downstairs they will find by the entrance to get in (Please do not ring any other bell). Please note that prpal is the floor under the first floor.
Guests arriving to Prat airport are recommended to get a taxi in the case they are 4 or more people as getting 4 bus tickets to the city centre would almost cost 25€ which is what a taxi cost.
Guests who are less than 4 people are recommended to get the ¨aerobus¨, which is the cheapest way to get to the city centre; Plaza Catalunya for about 4€ per ticket.
From Plaza Catalunya you can walk down Via Laietana following the provided directions. In the case of having difficulty finding the way, please contact us by phone and we will help you.

Location is fantatastic, ideal for exploring barcelona. hostal was clean and good value for money, i've stayed in a lot better and paid less although the location made up for it.
We were delayed landing and got charged 27 euros for booking in late. this was taken out of the deposit they took on arrival but no mention of the charge was made until we checked out. breakfast is poor, best thinking of it as room only and eating out, loads of nice places close by. 03 Jul 08

This hostel was imaculately kept at all times, it was spotless and the staff were very helpful. the breakfast provided was more than adequate and i felt it offered excellent value for money. it was also very quiet.It was a little tricky to find, i would recommend providing the floor and flat number of the apartment block that it was in, we spent a long time going up and down in the lift trying to find it!!20 Jun 08

Great location, friendly staff, great views from balcony room and very clean.A little hard to find as there is no signage for the hotel. need to look for the number on the building and then the plaque that has a phone number on it. if they do not answer when you ring the door, then call and they will be there within a few minutes. 24 Mar 08
Nice and clean, great location. on a main road but noise wasn't bad with window closed. it would be too noisy to sleep with window open but there was aircon for warmer weather. had a fridge in the kitchen for guests to store food/drinks.Breakfast stock standard, loaves of white bread and cornflakes.13 Apr 08

Via laietana is a beautiful and comfortable place to live in during your stay in barcelona. the rooms are comfortable, clean and the furniture tasteful and appropriate for your stay. having an airconditioner in each room makes it even more comfortable particular during the hot days in barcelona. the staff are excellent. i have never met more dedicated and friendly staff in any previous b&bs. from a welcoming reception to informing us about safety in barcelona and even calling a trusted cabbie for us and seeing us off at the gate. it was truly a wonderful experience and i would highly recommend this place to anyone visitng barcelona.16 Apr 08

Convenient location 5-10 minutes from las ramblas, near a mercado (w/excellent restaurant) & a dia. room was small but fine.It is like staying in a private room in a hostel with shared bathrooms & kitchen and the guests don't necessarily clean up after themselves. breakfast is very limited. it is an ok hotel but not one that we remember fondly.23 Mar 08
Excellent location, it is so easy to find this hotel for the first time. as i have already read about noise in preveiuos reviews i was prepared. cozy kitchen, friendly staff.Always there was water on the floor in the bathroom. 12 Mar 08

Was in an excellent location with a regular bus service running past the hotel. could be difficult to find so look for the orange sign and buzz (2) for access. One night there wasnt any hot water for showering. loads of building work going on in the communal stairway.10 Mar 08

Had a lovely stay, very large clean nicely decorated room with a balcony. ideal location in the city right next to la ramblaVery hard to find as the door into the building makes it look like an inhabited building, and also arrived late due to a delay in flight and was charged extra 27 euro for this.05 Mar 08
