Fully renovated in 2007. At the Barcelona airport area, the Best Western Hotel Alfa Aeropuerto is a modern hotel built in 1988. This hotel is just 2 kilometers from the airport (the nearest hotel) and 10 kilometers from the city centre.

The hotel is perfect if you need an airport overnight stay. The restaraunt doesn't open until 20.30 which is a litle late, especially when you have an early morning flight.Anonymous

The hotel is a 25e taxi drive from the cruise ship and takes about twenty minutes given the traffic. the free shuttle to the airport takes about twenty minutes as well and must be booked at the desk. a city bus right outside the hotel takes you within two blocks of the ramblis the main tourist area for 1.2e each way. it leaves every twenty minutes. with a good bus route map, you can go anywhere in the city with a little walking.Once at the hotel, there is little else to do and there are no restaurants you can walk to other than at the hotel itself.Christine Henderson

Internet access. good restaurantThere were no electrical plugs that we could use in the room and no adapter available. the shower head fell off on me in the shower and there was resistance to change our room. the hotel is totally remote. there is nothing within walking distance. the free shuttle to town each day requires an advance reservation and space availability. it was an old property and construction and updating began very early each morning and paint fumes were annoying. the bus into barcelona was a long miserable ride. the taxi fare range was fourteen to twenty euro and although we always left from the center of barcelona we never were taken back the same way. i was robbed in a bank lobby exchanging dollars for euros two hours after landing in barcelona, spent 5 hours in the police headquarter with very unconcerned and disinterested policemen and my trip was not pleasantAnonymous

i have stayed at this hotel in the past also and there are no complaints about the hotel -it is very good.What i did not like about 'easytobook' was that you offered this room for occupancy for three persons but it is impossible for three persons to use that room !!! when you quote such exorbitant rates, you must make sure that you know what you are doing!fyi, on the 3rd & 5th july 2007,the double room was available at 150 euros. you charged us 195 & 271 euros - you should know tha three people cannot share one room whic is actually meant for double occupancy.Anonymous
