Catalonia Atenas is a great hotel choice no matter what your reason for being in this city. How to reach the hotel?Its proximity to the Clot Metro Station and access to good bus routes allows easy access to all areas of the city.
The Catalonia Atenas hotel is located 4 stops away from city centre by Metro and few metres from the Clot railway station. It is very well communicated with the entire city and the region due to the Arc de Triomf railway station where every 10 minutes trains from the Costa Brava (Figueres, Lloret de Mar, Calella) and the Costa Dorada (Tarragona, Sitges, Castelldefels) arrive.

Being able to smoke indoors! 
Upon arrival we had been allocated a twin room rather than a double, the room had been freshly painted and smelt of fumes and the tv didn't work, we were offered another twin room which we accepted on the first night, the second the hotel was able to accomodate us with a double room, we had to move all of our belonings yet again, when we left the hotel and complained, we were offered a 10% discount on the first night, this ammounted to peanuts, not very satisfactory given the inconvvenience that we had experienced. Next to the train station. clean amenities.
Staff during the night were extremely rude and impatient. especially for a 4 star hotel. no warning of solarium being not accessible. no fridge in room. would never stay there again! Stephenson

Santiago was excellent, the other staff ok
Dissapointed that the pool was not available as that is why we chose this hotel, therefore feel not value for money
