From Barcelona´s airport (Aeroport del Prat) You can take a taxi or take the AEROBÚS in front of your terminal, that will bring you until Catalunya square (is the last stop, don´t get off before). There, ask for Urquinaona square and follow the map you have here until Bailen street. ¡DON´T TAKE THE TRAIN FROM THE AIRPORT! They are making reforms and you will have to change of train three times! From Girona´s airport (Ryanair flights and other airlines) Take the bus from Girona´s airport to Barcelona. The will bring you to "Estació del Nord", that is just five minutes away from the BARCELONA CITY URQUINAONA (use the map of this page). Take Ali Bey street until Bailén street, we are in the 13th. By Metro Catalunya station (Line 3 and Line 1) is a five-ten minutes walking from the hostel. The nearest stations are Urquinaona (Line 1 and Line 4), Arc del Triomf (Line 1) and Tetuan (Line 2). By Bus All the night buses stop in Plaça Catalunya, near the hostel, as a lot of day lines. You have also other day lines near the hostel. By train You have to get off always you can in Arc del Triomf, that is the nearest station. If your train stops only in Sants station, the best and fast way is to take a "Cercanías" train (trains that go near Barcelona) and get off in Arc del Triomf station. The other option is to take the metro in Sants station, but it will leave you not so near of the hostel or you will have to change of line to get nearer.

Description
Barcelona City Urquinaona is our most charming place. Called before "Residencia San Salvador", is a typical superb flat in a beautiful building of the begining of the XXth century, in the centre of Barcelona: a perfect place for independent travellers that look for a central but peacefully location. Is very recommendable for the travellers that come from Girona airport (Ryanair), as the bus station is just two streets away. The City Urquinaona will allow you to live in a privileged location from which you will be able to make pleasant strolls to the most interesting places of Barcelona: Arc del Troimf and Ciutadella park, the gothic quarter, the Sagrada Familia, the monumental and shopping area of the Passeig de Gracia and Rambla de Catalunya, the Ramblas and Catalunya square... That is a hostel to feel Barcelona under your feet! However, if you come for work or you don´t have enough time, you have to know that you are well-communicated: three "metro" (underground) lines one step away, that bring you easily to all the city (direct line to "Fira de Barcelona"). we are also two streets away from the train station "Arc del Triomf" and from the bus station "Estació del Nord", arrival station of the buses that come from Girona´s airport (Ryanair). Take a coffe in our terrace and enjoy one of the most peaceful streets of the city centre. A simple and clean place to stay, thinked to relax after a day of visits or work.

Was very clean and staff cleaned room every day and left clean towels. the shower room was also kept clean and tidy. was in an excellent location, 10 min walk from centre of barcelona!

The excellent hostel location, in the center of barca. everything is close to you, rambla,diagonal street,...
they clean your room every day.
Room is very small: bad, closet, window... however if you plan to go sightseeing, and search beautifull barcelona, all you need is bad- city urquinaona!!! Anonymous
