1.) breakfast is not up to mark. 2.) in the bathroom water was leaking first day. i complained and they did something. 2nd day mroning again it was leaking - somewhere from the roof. it was atrocious 3.) my name was not in when i reached hotel, though the printout showed my name as guest. later realised that the system had name of person who used his credit card to book my room.

They were helpful when possible, the rooms were lovely
Although the majority of the staff was helpful, the one male night porter was very unhelpful and it was my impression that when we had money stolen and needed to pay for the taxi in other means that he made the situation worse. which brings me to my other point of how when we had been about 10km away from our hotel with no possibility of recieving extra money-after our original funds had been stolen-the hotel showed no interest in our situation, refused to pay and offered no other suggestions.

The tour busses around barcelona. the tramline which passes the hotel stops by bus stops for the red & blue tour bus lines.
Lack of in-room facilities for making drinks (1 x coffee maker with 1 sachet of coffee and some sugar) no kettle, cups or spoons. reception had no information leaflets about getting around the area. luckily the tram line runs past the hotel to take you into barcelona. should have details of the transport system (bus/tram/train maps & timetables) to enable guests to plan journeys.

The hotel was modern and clean and although located out of the city centre, public transport links are just outside the hotel and are extemely cheap yet offer a swift and safe journey into the centre of barcelona. the housekeeping staff cleaned the room better than any i have ever experienced before and any clothes left out where folded neatly and the bathroom was cleaned and things put away neatly. 10/10 for the maids!!!
I wish the front desk staff had been to the same training school as the housekeeping staff!!! they were extremely unhelpful to the point where one of them was sat in the office for 10 mins with a number of people stood waiting at the desk. i asked them to book me a taxi the evening before i was due to leave. when i checked out they had not done this and then there were no taxi's available due to a large convention starting that day. when i told him that i asked him to do it the night before he just shrugged his shoulders??? i only made it to the airport on time due to someone else in the hotel that was there on business offered to take me as they had a meeting nearby otherwise i would have missed my flight. the pool wasnt open and niether was the pool terrace area and also the bar. the tv had no english channels not even the news.in summary, the hotel is nice and the location isnt that bad if you take the price into consideration but the front of desk staff were absolutely terrible.

Nice hotel, great potential! safe location, though far from barcleona city centre
The staff were not friendly or helpful at all. our booking was not on the computer system, so check in was long and difficult. there was no information in our room about the local area, hotel facilties, check out times etc. the air conditioning did not work in the hotel, and i overheard the manager arguing with othe guests about this. i asked 3 members of staff to fix our safe in our room, and and it never was fixed. the hotel was noisy - both cleaning staff in the hallways outside our room and also children running up and down hallways yelling and screaming. when we checked out, the staff member on reception tried to charge us more than we had booked for, i also saw this happen to at least one other couple - on both occasions, the price the hotel tried to charge was incorrect.

The staff were very helpful and friendly, especially on reception.
The hotel was very nice and quiet and definately recommended. however, the location was at least 30 minutes by tram from the centre, but the tram stop was quite near the hotel and the trams were quite frequent.
