Description
Hostal Centric is a small hostel surrounded by a cosy and friendly atmosphere. The hostel is close to commercial areas, cafés, bars, restaurants and local entertainment. The hostel is located in the center of Barcelona, just a few minutes from the Ramblas, and the main tourist sites. From Hostal Centric all of Barcelona is practically at your doorstep.
There is no breakfast, but around the hostal you can find a lot of nice cafés, bars and restaurants. Hostal Centric Barcelona has parking facilities in a garage close to Barcelona Centric Hostal but this is not included in the room rates.
All of the Hostal Centric’s twin and single rooms offer ensuite facilities and a TV; the Superior rooms have air conditioning/heating, the Standard rooms have a fan/heating. You can also request additional beds in the twin rooms.

Located in the center of Barcelona, just a few minutes from the Ramblas and the main tourist attractions, all of Barcelona is practically on your doorstep when you stay at Hostal Centric.
Barcelona's Old city is, without doubt, one of the nicest and most romantic cities in Europe. Its small streets and little shops, everything invites you to wander around, getting to know every place of this charming area. It is more quiet and more homey than some of the busy, bustling parts of the city. You are still close enough to all the things in the city but you are not directly in the middle of the busiest parts of town.
How to reach the hotel?The metro and buses to all points of interests are next to the hostal.
How to reach the hostel
By car: If you enter the city on Diagonal Avenue, drive straight until you reach Francesc Macia Plaza. Get into the right lane so that you can make the first right, onto Villarroel Street. Continue straight, passing Gran Via. 2 blocks after Gran Via you will reach Floridablanca. Continue straight on Floridablanca. The first street on the left is Casanova.
By metro: You can take the green line (#3) from SANTS ESTACIO. Get off at Plaza Espanya, and transfer to the red line (#1). Get off at Placa Universitat.
By plane: There is a train stop in the airport. The fare is 3 € and it runs every 30 minutes. The closest stop to the Centric Hostel is PLACA CATALUNYA.

The staff was very nice and helped with every question. at least 2 of them spoke german, even though i speak english i enjoyed this easy way of communication. 
As described there is no lift in the house. the staircase is extremely narrow and precipitous also, with big or heavy luggage or if you have problems using stairs you should not use this hotel. Anonymous

I really recommend this place. staff was lovely, the location very good, the room was perfect and very clean!!! we stayed in the private toilet room, and everything its new. loved it!! its not a fun hostal, its more like a hotel. Brian Cormack

Clean and tidy, friendly helpful staff, walking distance of restaurants, bars,cafes and transport systems.My room was on the 4th floor, there is no lift/elevator, so you have to be reasonably fit and agile!!!!Anonymous

Reception staff were very helpful. they all spoke enough english to assist us as we did not speak spanish.We booked a room with plenty of time up to our stay hoping for a room with a balcony and a view as stated on the internet but we had a ground floor with no view. this was not all bad as the hostel had no lift so we did not have to carry our suitcases up the stairss but this could have been better explained in the website.Mr Thomas Close

The hostal centric was fine, central and most important clean, lovely clean sheets. but it was basic with no frills and more than adequate for our needs as we didn't spend a great of deal of time there. there was no tea making facilities which i missed but it wasn't too much of a problem as we took our own kettle. the staff we very pleasant and friendly. the web page was very accurate it "did what it said on the tin" so to speak. overall no complaints.A lift would have been nice and tea making facilities.Anonymous

Nice enough low cost hotel in an interesting part of barcelona. quiet, Bring an alarm clock, no wake up calls, confirm reservations, they only had one night of three on their books, and only one room of two reserved. english was spoken, staff was young and friendly. Anonymous
