A simple, clean, family-run pension, in the heart of one of the oldest districts of Barcelona, and with a thriving nightlife right on its doorstep. Until it was deposed by the recently-trendified Born and Raval districts, Gracia was THE place to go for a classic Barcelona night out. In fact, it still is. The pension is located on Gran de Gracia, one of the main streets that swathes its way through this densely-populated residential district, and, as a result, has numerous bars, cafés and restaurants literally just round the corner. However, the rooms overlooking the street, although in possession of charming enclosed balconies, are also extremely noisy! Under the watchful eye of the owner, who is discretionary about guests (British visitors particularly welcome!) this is a safe environment with all basic amenities, and is good value for money for those on a very tight budget. All rooms have shower or bath, and the owner will take care of any valuables.
