Balmoral Hotel is situated at just a few steps from Avenida Diagonaland Paseo de Gracia, on the Via Augusta. This classic hotel is located in the heart of the business and commercial district. Great location, but on the website it would be better if location, directions etc were given from hotel.The staff werent major helpful with directions, i know it may not be there fault as we dont have any spanish, but it would have been helpful to us, as first time in the city, also for price of hotel, breakfast should have been included i think, especially when the hotel itself was not busy and bar and restaurant were never busy, we went in for a few drinks one evening no one was behind the bar.Anonymous

The location was the biggest advantage. quiet at night and yet not too far away from the heart of the city for fun/food/shopping, etc. also, the bed was very comfortable.A wake-up call on the day on my flight out of the city was 28 minutes late. not a big deal as i left a lot of buffer time (and they still make the calls the *human* way, live, and so could have had many to deal with), but still ... just be aware of that potential risk and bring a back-up alarm if timing is critical.Anonymous
