By train:
A convenient train service will take you from the El Prat airport to Plaça Catalunya. The hotel is 5 minutes on foot from there.
By bus:
The Airbus line offers frequent connections from the El Prat airport to Plaça Catalunya. The ride takes 30 minutes.
By ship:
The Barcelona harbour is close to the Drassanes underground station (line 3). Take it until Plaça Catalunya station. The hotel is 5 minutes on foot from there.

The reception staff at the hotel are friendly and very helpful. the hotel colon we found was in an excellent part of barcelona. you could sit outside the hotel on a satursday afternnon and watch the group playing and the dancers performing. if we didn't stay at this hotel we would have missed this experience.
We were given a room at the back of the hotel. this was a standard room. for the price we paid i would have expected much more. the room was a bit grotty and could do with a make over. there was also no view from the window. on the plus side the sun shone and it was very quite at night.25 May 08

Initially on entering the room there was a smell from the bathroom was as a first impression was poor although i corrected this myself by closing a small door to the ventilation shaft, however the staff service, cleanliness and location of the hotel was excellent. the only complaint would be that there was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room plus the mini bar was very small and could only accomodate 500ml bottles of beer&water.09 Feb 08
