Description
Opened in 2004, this hotel enjoys an ideal situation and excellent public transport links, with direct access to the city centre and airport 10 minutes away by Aerobus.
The area features excellent transport links with a bus stop 100 metres away. The hotel also enjoys easy connections to the main shopping area by direct subway routes only 4 stops away. In addition to this, the spectacular Olympic area of Montjuic is nearby, which features the MNAC: Catalunya National Art Museum and the Poble Espanyol exhibition park with its arts and crafts shops, galleries and replicated architecture.

Evenia Rocafort Barcelona is very well connected to the rest of the city. Ivan & juan carlos were helpful. another male at reception seemed to resent our stay ! because we speak english ? ? First we were offered a room that was neither cleaned ( the bed was not even made up) nor ready for occupation. this was poor communication and created a poor first impression. Anonymous

Excellent location - quiet street in nice neighbourhood, close to metro which was only 2 stops from the hustle and bustle of la rambla and 4 from sants station where we took the train to montmelo for the spanish grand prix. modern, spotlessly clean hotel which catered for our son with an extra bed in the room. did not use the hotel for breakfast but there was an excellent cafe on the opposite corner providing cheap sandwiches, pastries and coffee. wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. We have stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. the staff was very friendly and helpful - when we asked a better room at the front with street wiew they made the change in some minutes without any debate. the location is quite good close to 2 metro lines and the catalunya main square - aprox 15 minutes walk. the cleannes of the room and all the facilities were very good.Anonymous

The hotel rooms are very clean, with a very nice clean bathroom. the location is good too as the metro stop is just a few minutes walk.The cleaning ladies made quite a lot of noise first thing in the morning and the room walls are very thin as you can hear the person next door snoring!!! we were put into a small room facing the back of the hotel initially, which was rather dark due to the small window, not that this is a major issue, however the problem was for room 305 that the bathroom door did not close! we then had to request to the hotel staff if we could change rooms to the front of the hotel due to this problem, and although a few faces were pulled, we managed to change rooms on our second day there.Anonymous

Good, clean hotel, centrally located with easy access to plaza de espana for the airport bus and very close to poble sec metro station. altough rocafort looks near to sants railway station on the map, it is at the other end of the road, so head for poble sec or take the airport bus (46) and get off at plaza de espana. breakfast at 17 euros was a little steep, but overall good vfmKRATOU

Stay was comfortable, clean and we really enjoyed the en-suite facilities. the internet availabitity was good also. the only downside was the next morning breakfast which is served 7.30- 10.30. we came down about 10.10, and pretty much everything was gone. there was no bacon left and we were pretty much subjected to cereal and toast. we paid 17 euro for the privilage of this which i dont think was value for money. i will admit that if we had gone down early for breakfast, we would have had a better choice. other than this, i would use the hotel again. dont let me put you off.Irene Devine

The staff was very helpful. when we arrived earlier than planned and the hotel was booked, they called around, found us another hotel, and even booked the room for us! there were also two computers available for free for guest use, which i did not see on the website. this was very nice as it was the end of our two week stay in spain and we had been without communication with family and friends. hotel is located very close to two metro stops, good location!The room was small compared to usa standards, but was the same as other hotels we stayed in while in spain. The breakfast is good and un-supervised with complete freedom to choose from a wide variety of dishes.
the bedrooms were very silent with the windows shut.
The beds are uncomfortable, much too hard. we ordered a "twin bed setup"; normally double beds are too soft in the middle. these beds were much too hard. both my wife and i slept very badly.
the toilets are uncomfortable. why is there not a properly shaped seat?
the bath is uncomfortable, it was very difficult to reach the taps and control the temperature. the shower head did not work properly.
no bathroom extractor to remove the humidity and smells.
the wi-fi did not work in the bedrooms.
it would have been nice to have one of the two computers downstairs in the foyer adjusted to english format.
the air conditioning did not work. the room was stuffy with no ventilation.
