An absolutely fantastically good value-for-money one-star 'hotel', which in reality, is a quiet, well-located, huge duplex apartment (don't be put off by the undistinguished-looking entrance), Many of the rooms have sea views, large, private balconies and all are modern and well-equipped with air-conditioning, central heating, telephone, local and satellite TV, and their own en-suite bathrooms - just like staying in a friend's first-class private flat, in fact, but with total privacy. The location is just a 5-minutes´walk down the tree-lined Avenida Gaudí to the world-famous Sagrada Familia church, while the modernist Hospital Sant Pau (well worth a visit, without the need for any symptoms) is also just a few minutes´ walk away. Gaudí's intricately-beautiful Park Guëll is easily accessible from here, and there are several buses, and a metro station nearby which will take you to the Ramblas and Plaza Catalunya within 15 minutes. Breakfast is not available but the bar/restaurant of the same name on the street below, serves a variety of dishes (as well as jazz at the weekends), and there are numerous other small restaurants nearby, all of which are very reasonably priced. Once again, phenomenally good value-for-money, particularly for families, and highly recommended.
