The hotel staff was very helpful and nice. the hotel was right on catalunya plaza, perfect for people and crowd watching from the balcony. perfect fo strolling the rablas.The only negative thing was the price. four nights in a double room, our fourth night was more than twice the first night. not sure why. The hotel has an amazing location, at affordable rates, great hotel only if you are going to spend your majour time outside in the city.The single bed rooms, are not more than 5 feet wide, the room window opens to face a wall, the a/c in the room not working, Anonymous

Excellent location.Extremely poor value for money. my room was dirty. there was dust and dirt on the floor. i was there for seven nights and during that time neither the bath nor the wash basin were cleaned. dirty towels were replaced onto the towel rail. the airconditioning pumped only warm air into the room and it smelled of stale tobacco smoke and sewage. many of the tv channels weren't tuned in properly. the staff tried to charge me for breakfasts i didn't have and when i disputed the bill they reluctantly accepted the error but did not apologise. The staff were very frindly and helpful and offered good advice, the room was clean and comfortable for our short stay. the location was great right on the corner of la ramblas.The only downside was the traffic noise,from very early in the morning but double glazing would not be appropriate on this lovely old building.Peter Morley

The room was very clean, a bit hot but we were a the back of the hotel. you can request a room on the front with a fab view of placa d'catalunya but may be noisy we opted for the back to get some sleep lots of walking to do the next day and fab sights to see.Anonymous

Clean, tidy, good price, very convenient location when arriving in barcelona on a late evening flight It was extremely noisy first thing in the morning the whole room was vibrating from the noise of building work being carried out on the building next door. should have been warned if i had booked more than one night i wuld have been very upset and my visit to barcelona ruined. Located near to airport bus stop and tourist bus stop.Were rather disappointed when receptionist talked us into buying turistic bus pack for 3 euros each on our first morning only to find out that the turistic buses were on strike all week, we are sure the staff must have known this.Anonymous
