Description
Comfortable and stylish self-catering apartments, located a short distance from the beach in Barcelona’s Olympic Village and conveniently situated for the Ciutadella Park, El Borne and the Gothic Quarter.
The apartments provide a fantastic base for your stay and offer the independence and privacy that conventional hotels do not. Whether staying for a couple of days, weeks or months, you can work, explore the city or simply relax as if you were at home.
The area is well served by public transport, the Bogatell metro station is a short distance away and there are also numerous bus routes. We offer 3 types of apartments:
- 3 rooms + 1 kitchen + 1 bathroom. In these apartments the living area is inside one room (up to 6 people).
- 3 rooms + 1 kitchen + 2 bathrooms + 1 living room (up to 8 people).
- 4 rooms + 1 kitchen + 2 bathrooms + 1 living room (up to 10 people).
All of the apartments are very new and totally well furnished.
IMPORTANT NOTE: At the check in there is a deposit charge of 300€ which is handed back after departure when we have checked that everything is in a reasonable state.
KEY PICK-UP PROCESS: The keys to the apartment, a map of how to arrive, and a map of Barcelona, are delivered at Boutique Hotel Barcelona, located at Pau Claris, 145, ent. 1. It is open 24 hours.

With just 3 of us in the appartment it was very spacious. only 10 minutes walk to the beach and 5 mins from a metro station. information about local supermarket and rubbish collection would have been useful.
The washing machine was broken and the towels were very old. picking up keys from the centre of the city meant extra trips with luggage.hot water only luke warm for most of stay.Anonymous

NothingWe feel we were totally ripped off - upon arriving the people we collected keys from insisted on 5x the agreed deposit - almost 2000 pounds, they took so long giving us the keys that my coach and the rest of my hens were taken away without telling me so i was stranded in the middle of barcelona not knowing where i was staying. when they eventually refunded my deposit they charged a different exchange rate to what they took it out with meaning i lost out of around £100!!! i think this is disgusting and would not reccomend the hotel to anybodyAnonymous

Nice location...nice alternative to hotel...especially with a family. We rented two apartments. to spite numerous calls to the hotel that collected our money, we were unable to get the air conditioning repaired. we were miserable. we asked for a new apartment and never had any follow through. the other apartment had a leak in the bathroom, which after numerous requests was not repaired. that apartment had a bucket of water in the middle of one of the bathrooms. therefore 8 people had to share one bathroom. at least the had air conditioning. we felt very trapped as we had to pay cash and then had no resolution of the issues. not happy!!!Anonymous

Well equipped appartments in a mainly residential block so very quiet . fairly close to main attractions Be aware of the deposit system that is in place for these appartments .you have to collect the keys from the other side of barcelona and leave a 300 euro deposit ( more if you pay cash ) i paid on a credit card .as i had booked 4 appartments this was 1200 euros . the amount was debited from the card which i have never heard of happening before .the money or details are usually ' held' until the appartment has been checked . a few days after returning i received an e-mail saying that the money would be returned as the appartments were fine .i was told this could take up to 2 months unless i gave certain bank information which i did . the transfer took almost 6 weeks , during which time there was a great deal of inconveniance and stress dealing with the bank and the appartment owner .the money did eventually show up but at no point was i told in advance that the money would be taken and then refunded .
not worth the hassle if you can avoid it unless they have changed their system which i did suggest .

The apartments were nice and clean,with good space.
bathroom very good.
good service at check in and key pick up.
also good service when calling by telephone with my questions.Furnish worn out and in bad shape.with fresher furnish the apartment had been perfect.
i was told the cleaning lady should come every day at 10.she never showed up in five days.no change of towels in five days.
safetybox didn't work upon arrival.

We stayed in these modern apartments in family holidays with our 16 year old children; it was lovely, warm and very clean. it was very quiet and didn't really see many people; the location is excellent, the staff are very helpful and really nice!

Clean appartments in a quiet location .the appartments are well provided ( tv , washing machine etc )supermarket and metro close by .well located for cuitadella parkThe deposit system needs reviewing .paying 400 euros for each appartment upfront and then waiting to be refunded .would be better to just take credit card details and hold onto them . flats are in a residential block so quite strict rules about noise .also means there are no bars or restaurants nearby the appartment block at all .Anonymous

Reasonable sized appartments which were clean and have balcony . very residential area Getting the keys from another part of the city is cumbersome and quite difficult to find . also having to pay a large deposit for possible damages which seems to be a bit of a palaver to get returned .
not much in the vicinity , most things are a metro ride away .beware of pickpockets also .we had a purse stolen coming out of the metro near the appartments ( marina )Parveen Panesar

The apartment was lovely and in a great location! we had a great stay and had no complaints from neighbours.The fridge smelt a bit. we were also there for 4 days and no cleaners came in to clean or give fresh towels. also the apartment caters for 6 people, yet when showering, the hot water was only hot for 4 people showering!John Ohara

Apartment was ok except for a broken blind which meant the living area was in darkness all day and there was no toilet roll in either of the bathrooms. Whilst the apartment and holiday itself were good, after returning home i received an email stating everything was in order and i would receive my 300 euro deposit back. after three weeks i emailed asking about my deposit and received no reply. a few days later and after sending another email, i was told that there had been complaints about us having 'parties' and people 'skating' in the apartment block! my parents are aged over 60 and we had an 18 month old baby in the apartment, so this was completely made up and clearly a scam to con us out of the deposit. easytobook customer services said it was up to the individual hotel and took no interest whatsoever, so were of absolutely no use. after contacting my credit card company to contest this and also asking chicstays.com to check the dates of any complaints, as it clearly was not us, they agreed to return the deposit. six weeks later i received the refund, but will not use easytobook or chicstays ever again. easytobook clearly do not care about their customers and chicstays.com are con artists. i am in the process of complaining through the barcelona tourist board and the barcelona police to get eduardo suarez (from chiscstays.com) investigated. The apartment was clean and tidy.Despite my best attempts i have not received a reply in any form to my numerous emails and as such i can only conclude that i was ripped off for 300 euros deposit paid in good faith but not returned. this should be a police matter. avoid this place unless you wish to pay twice the price advertised! Adequately furnished, generally clean, secure and safe.No access to telephone, no english instructions for using the appliances, lacked tv or any helpful connection with a person who could direct or aid us in finding our way around the city. we were told that there would be clean towels and daily maid service, and never once in the four days we were there did any of this occur.David McArtin

A good place for the value. it is a 8 to 10 euro cab ride from the apartment back to the heart of barcelona. also there is currently action being taken by the barcelona city officials to outlaw these type of lodgings facilities within residential building.The process of picking up the key at one location and having to travel to another location is cumbersome. most taxi drivers have to look up directions to both places. bring google maps with you to help.Anonymous

The apartment was quiet, clean and the rooms had double beds (3 rooms). the kitchen was equipped and very clean. the bathroom was very nice and clean - great shower. also quite a good location to the city and the beach.The beds were uncomfortable. the rooms need proper curtains - the curtains up were from ikea and quite see through - so lots of light in the rooms. would have liked a television - to see what programmes the spanish watch - my children could have seen the spanish cartoons in the morning for example. a radio would have been nice too.Anonymous

Very spacious, beds very comfortable, all the electrical equiptment you need to make your stay more comfortable, lovely powerful shower, very handy for buses and nearest metro.Nothing drastic just where you pick keys up from taxi drivers did not know where it was and its not clearly sign posted so we ended up spending 50 euro going round in circles looking for it. and be aware only use two electric sockets at once or you trip the circuit.MR CLAUDE VERLEY

Nice,spacious,modern apartment - very good value for moneyThe shower in the main bathroom needs to be enclosed to prevent bathroom flooding each time it is used. several light bulbs need replacing.the sunscreen/blinds for the living room do not retract, so the room was always in darkness. each bedroom needs a chair.the intercom system does not work, which meant we constantly had to use mobile phones to call each other, and had to go down to the ground floor each time to open the door. there were not enough sofas to seat the 6 of us who stayed in the apartment. another 2 seater sofa would help.
