At one time it was Brussels that was "the" place to shop while in Belgium. Times have changed and you will now find more things to pique your interest in Antwerp. Antwerp has trendy boutiques with a varied selection of goods to appeal to just about any tastes. The major area for shopping in Antwerp is called Nationalestraat. In this shopping area of Antwerp you will find such havens of fashionable clothing by names like Dries van Noten, Ann Demeulemeester, Walter van Beirendonck and Marina Yee.

You could also wander over to Schutterhofstraat for those totally into fashion and what it can do for them. Of course the main shopping area is usually considered to be the Meir, but it depends on what you want to shop for.
