 "fantastic location - average quality"
good for sightseing, middling room, good for 1 night, not good sleep, very noise also in the 6.floor, on a web there is an other rooms photo, in our room was a very old, poor furniture, but new mattress and very nice bedclothes.

 "very nice"
Nice hotel but the day staff could have been a bit friendlier. The room was clean but there was no air conditioning and it was very hot. The breakfast was great they had a buffet with plenty of options.

 "In need of updating"
Very expensive for what it is - but close to Gare du Midi. Elevator didn't work so had to walk up 6 flight of stairs. Tv didn't work well either. Decoration ok downstairs but terrible in rest of hotel.

Cons: Extremely arrogant, rude and generally unpleasant receptionist. it is also high time that the people in belgium become willing to speak both french and dutch/flemming.

"Room was lovely even if it was on 5th floor! clean and spacious"
Pros: Room was lovely even if it was on 5th floor! clean and spacious. spacious dining area great choice of food for breakfast.
Cons: Parking wasn't easy but we managed to get a space in the carpark of the hotel across the square for 15 euros a night. hotel not situated in the nicest part of brussels and the lift broke down on our last day so we had to carry our luggage down 5 floors.

"The only positive experience was the breakfast , which was above average"
Pros: The only positive experience was the breakfast , which was above average.
Cons: 1) small room.
2) no provision of tea/coffee in room. the most run down hotels of uk provide this, in the least !
3) hand wash basin seemed to be blocked - took ages for the water to clear out.
4) shower was not working properly - water pressure kept changing and so was the temperature of water.
4) bed sheet had a hole, which seemed to be caused by cigarette burn.
5) hotel direction on web site was completely misguiding ! - we were roaming around at 12 in the night to find the location - we called the hotel receptionist and instead of helping us find our way he asked us to get in another hotel and ask them the direction of ustel!!! finally a cab driver helped us out.

we are never coming back to ustel !
