Brussels-Central Station Brussels

Bruxelles-Central / Brussel-Centraal (Brussels Central) has six tracks served by three island underground platforms. An island platform is a single platform that lies between two tracks, but serves both of them. Usually, the two tracks are on the same line, running in opposite directions. Now the interesting thing about these underground platforms is that they occupy actual city blocks in length – the Infante Isavella straat, Boulevard Keizerinlaan and the Rue de la Putterijstraat. The main entrance and the ticket office however are at ground level on Boulevard Keizerinlaanm with other entrances available at other locations. The station reflects the more modern notes of a recent overhaul to enhance its convenience for residents and visitors alike.
