For a really unique adventure when you go explore Belgium, take in the Euro Space Center. The exhibits will take you right from the Big Bang (that supposedly started the world) right up until the present with a focus of what may be in store for the future. This isn't just an exhibit only affair. It is full of hands on activities for the whole family in full color, lights, sounds and special effects. Look for the Temple of Planets, the European Columbus lab and the International Space Station. You'll leave this facility as the keeper of some nifty secrets.
You'll have the chance to climb aboard a full-scale mock up of the Space Shuttle and feel what the astronauts feel when they live and work on board. You'll see an unusual landmark beside the A411 when you go to pass the Euro Space Center. It's an absolutely huge Perspex replica sculpture of a space shuttle sitting by the roadside. Don't forget to check out the space camp based on the US Space Camp concept at Huntsville, Alabama. The Center also tells the story of the first astronauts and includes a life-size model of the space shuttle Columbus, sections of the European rocket Ariane and the Russian space station Mir, 3D videos and a simulated flight.
