You might want to seriously consider a walking tour when visiting Namur. That way you will have the chance to visit the Namur Provincial Museum of Ancient Arts otherwise called the Musée des Arts anciens du Namurois. The first thing you will notice about this stunning museum is its architecture dating from the 17th and 18th century. In fact, its original life began as the Hotel de Gaiffier d'Hestroy. The Musée des Arts anciens du Namurois has on display some of the finest artistic artifacts from the Middle Ages and Renaissance period from the region of Namur.

The most stunning collections of the Musée des Arts anciens du Namurois (a listed monument belonging to the province of Namur) is the work of goldsmiths, the sculptures, copper utensils, silver, glass-in-lead, embroideries and ivory pieces.
