The Musée des Commandos isn't as old as some of the museums you will see when you are in Belgium, but it nevertheless covers a whole lot of very significant history of the Belgian Commandos. The Musée des Commandos is located in Flawinne, province of Namur, Wallonia and was created in 1980. This museum addresses the history of the Belgian commandos since 1942 – the year of the creation in Great Britain of the first unit, the 4th Troop of Nº10 Inter Allied Commando until present times.

All the units of the Belgian Army that wore the green beret of the Commandos are represented here. This museum started off very modestly, but has since grown to occupy more than 20 locations. The collections are easy to follow and presented chronologically or topically. For instance, documents, materials, equipment, weapons, etc. The Museum is located in the buildings of the 2nd Battalion of Commandos, and can be accessed on the ground floor at the rear.
