Shopping in Namur can be an experience you'll thoroughly enjoy. Namur, also known as the Gateway to the Ardennes, offers a shopping area that cuts right through the center of the town. Rue de l'Ange is Namur's main shopping street and runs north into the rue de Fer. Also two perpendicular streets can capture your eye when shopping – the rue de Bruxelles and rue Emile Cuvelier. And with some luck, when you are done shopping you can visit the Musee des Arts Anciens de Namurois.

The little side streets in Namur's shopping area have a host of things you just won't be able to resists. There are the inevitable chocolate, charcuterie and cheese shops to delight you. And for a wonderful gift try the Comptoir de l'Oliviat on rue de la Croix for jams and fois gras. Or perhaps La Cave de Wallonie on the rue de Halle, that offers a choice of over 350 Belgian beers. If you prefer caramels (known as le Bietrume) then head for E de Hucone at 5 rue de Fer. Stick around for the weekend, and take part in market day on Saturdays.
