Pros: Great location and very friendly staff.

Cons: Very expensive hotel. standard room is very dated and the quality is not great and therefore not good value for money.

Pros: The best located premium hotel in the city, just a stone's throw from the cathedral, other churches, the main shopping streets and the canals. large, clean rooms with good facilities. helpful and attentive staff.
Cons: Minor point but hotel rooms tend to be cleaned late in the day. it appears that the hotel services the rooms of guests who have checked out before those of guests who will be staying an extra day. this often meant that the room was not serviced until after lunch. on most days, this was not a concern as we were sight-seeing but on one day, this was a bugbear.

Pros: We had a luxury room which had the most comfortable bed i have ever slept in. the room was very spacious with a sofa; the bathroom was also lovely.
Cons: The shower base was very slippery - needed some sort of grip to be safe. the description said that there were tea/coffee making facilities but the coffee machine was very fiddly to operate to fill with water and needed to be on a flat table rather than on a tight shelf. small details really, but could have been dangerous.
