This once upon a time little airport (the Ostend-Bruges International Airport) has grown into a Category 4 International Airport to be reckoned with. It all started with a small field in Stene during WW I used for military aircraft. Even today at the Ostend-Bruges International Airport you can tour the historical aspects of the facility.
