Oudenberg is a municipality in the province of West Vlaandern (Western Flanders) in Belgium. The city of Oudenberg itself is quite ancient, and on the street plan of the area you can still see the outline of the Roman Castellum that dates back to the 4th Century. Some of the stones belonging to the walls of that castle were later used in the construction of the Abbey of St Peter, which was destroyed in the French Revolution. While you are there, don’t miss a visit to the Casino-Kursaal Oostende and the Church of Our Lady. It is also worth spending an afternoon taking one of the bike tours around the area. You might also want to spend some time at the Baron Ruzettepark, which is just over nine miles from Oudenberg.
