The Rio de Janeiro Botanical Gardens is often regarded as one of the best in the world. The Gardens feature rare plants from Brazil and other countries. You can stroll along the Garden’s paths and see wild animals and beautiful birds. There are over 8000 kinds of plants in the Gardens providing lots of vibrant color. The orchid house alone has over 600 different species. Other highlights include the insect eating plants, the palm trees, the cacti and the medicinal plants.
