The excellent staff were a delight. i shared a room with a colleague and wanted to share common costs, although we arrived and left at different times. carlos, who seemed to be the chief of the front desk staff of the evening shift, worked out all costs to our satisfaction. everyone else from bellhops to roommaids were very polite and helpful. the hotel environ itself is safe and secure. the locale is downtown, and that is great for business if that is where one needs to be.
Well, the neighborhood is filled with homeless people who bed down under the building alcoves that overhang the sidewalk. workers need to have some rights, minimum wages, and other rights that civilized countries have. unless they acquire them the huge numbers of homeless and hapless will remain a permanent underclass, and street crime will continue to be a major concern.
