Razlog Hotels and Accommodation
Razlog is a ski resort town in the Razlog Valley, in the Blagoevgrad region situated in southwest Bulgaria. The town is surrounded by three beautiful mountain ranges: The Rila to the north, The Pirin to the south, and the Rhodopes Mountains to the east. It is 155km from Sofia. There are several good quality discount hotels in Razlog and you should make your reservation in one of these to best enjoy what the region has to offer tourists. It is most famous for the 41 houses of the so called Razlog-Chepino architectural period, a style that developed during the time of the Bulgarian Renaissance period. These houses have been lovingly restored and preserved, and some have since become museums.
The natural heritage of the landscape and its raw beauty are wondrous, and you can take hiking tours to explore the terrain, including the archeological remains. By journeying to the foothills of the Pirin Mountains, you will find the natural mineral water springs at Iztoka and Krushe, also the medieval remains of the Mechata Dupka and the Propadnaloto Caves. The Stolovatetes area, famous for its Thracian remains and the Mineral Springs of the Katarino region are to be found on the slope of the Rila Mountains.
