A favorite tourist spot for photos for its distinctive Muscovite architecture and five shiny golden domes, the Russian Orthodox Church in Sofia is one not to miss. The church was built by the same architect team as the nearby Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, and is also known as the Church of St. Nicholas the Miracle Maker, after the patron saint of the emperor by the same name. The exterior of the building was recently graciously restored by the Russian government. Other famous churches to see in the city of Sofia include the Sveti Sedmochislenitsi Church, St. Sophia Church, and Boyana Church, to name just a few.

The Russian Church is located close to the city center.
