Archaeological Museum Sofia

The National Archaeological Museum in Sofia houses artifacts and items relating to the history of the people, groups occupying Bulgaria from prehistory until about the 18th century. The exhibitions consist of five main sections: a prehistory hall for items from the Paleolithic Age to the Bronze Age; a "vault" for treasures and other ancient valuables; a central hall with items ranging from late Bronze Age to Middle Ages; a Middle Ages hall, with items relating to European history in general from the Middle Ages; and a temporary exhibitions hall, which showcases items on a rotating basis. Other things to see in the city of Sofia include the Sky City Mall, Sofia Synagogue, and Vasil Levski National Stadium, to name just a few.
