The Earth and Man National Museum in Sofia houses more than 20,000 mineralogical samples from all around the world. One of the newer museums in Sofia, it was first opened in 1987 in a refurbished building from the late 19th century. Open from 10 am to 6 pm, Tuesday through Saturday, the museum also hosts a variety of other exhibitions, as well as occasional classical music concerts.
