Vasil Levski National Stadium is the largest stadium in Bulgaria with capacity for 46,000 people. Opened in 1953 and renovated in 1966 and 2002, it is currently the home grounds for the national football team, the Lions (also known as the Tricolours). The stadium also holds a number of halls designated for other sports, including boxing, judo, ping-pong, basketball, and fencing. Other places to visit in the city of Sofia include the National Museum of History, Boyana Church, and the National Art Gallery, to name just a few.

The Stadium is located in central Sofia, just down from Balgarska Armiya Stadium. Central Sofia had plenty touristic attractions to offer, and the Stadium is one you may not miss!
