The Central Railway Station in Sofia is the largest train station in Bulgaria, with more than 10,000 people passing through on a daily basis. The current facility includes an overarching white tent as a prominent feature at the entrance, and has been been renovated twice since its initial establishment in 1888. The station is a few kilometers north of the city center and landmarks such as Lions’ Bridge, Sofia University (also known as St. Clement of Ohrid University of Sofia), and the National Library.
