Varna's Seaside Park has become a premier summer resort destination for many European visitors since Bulgaria's entrance into the European Union in 2006. The Park was first established in 1881 and is today the biggest park in Varna by far.
The Park runs almost the entire length of the city beach, right behind it on the coast. The park has fountains, a children's play area, a lake, and winding paths through shady groves of trees, the Park also features some less common sights, like the Naval Museum, an Astronomical Observatory, the Museum of Natural History, and an Aquarium.
