The largest lake along the Bulgarian coast, Lake Varna has an approximate surface area of 17 km2. It is long and skinny rather than circular, and empties into the Black Sea through two waterways, the older, natural Devnya River, and the man-made canal next to it. The Asparuhov Bridge crosses over both of the rivers on the east end of the lake, and on the west Lake Beloslav empties into Lake Varna. Some of the things to see around the lake include the Varna Necropolis, the Sea Garden, and the Varna Naval Museum.
