Levis is in eastern Quebec, Canada, right on the shore of the St. Lawrence River, and is just across the river from Quebec City. For years, it was primarily a residential suburb of Quebec City, but in recent years, many businesses have moved into Levis, allowing people to live and work on the same side of the river. Quebec City is easily accessed from Levis via ferry, which connects one old town with the other, and via two bridges. Hotels in Levis and Quebec City are plentiful, and offer the visitor many choices.

When visiting Levis, be sure to visit the Notre Dame de la Victoire de Levis Church, which dates back to the 1850s. Just across the river in Quebec City, you’ll find the Quebec National Museum of Fine Arts and the Museum of Civilization. Quebec City is a town that is rich with history, and you’ll find many historical monuments related to Quebec gaining independence from British rule, as well as monuments to Quebec’s importance in World War II, including the two Quebec Conferences.
