Visiting China and looking for a modern church, Beijing Haidian Christian Church is the place for you. This is on any list of things to do in Beijing if you are a Christian. The Church is located very close to China’s top institutes of learning such as, Peking University, and Tsinghua University. The church also happens to be among some of China’s grand commercial buildings like Sina.com, which explains why most of the church goers are young people.

Originally built in 1933 Beijing Haidian Christian Church is a very popular church especially with young people; in fact the number in attendance grew so much the original building had to be torn down and a new church was built in its place which could accommodate such a high traffic of people. The architecture could be confused with a studio if not for the absolutely massive cross in the front of the building.
