So you’ve found yourself looking for activities in Beijing, then located at the busy intersection of Zhushikou Xidajie and Qianmen Dajie, you will find Zhushikou Protestant Church. Though you are many miles from home you can go to worship with your fellow Protestants who will welcome you with open arms. One of the first multiple storey buildings in south Beijing, construction and expansion of the three-story Methodist denomination church took place several times over a 17-year-period between 1904 and 1921. This small church has a unique feature which is that during services, linked by an in-house video system, the congregation worships on 3 different floors at once.

The path taken by emperors on their way from the Forbidden City to the Temple of Heaven for imperial sacrifices at the Winter Solstice was The Qianmen Dajie road. The Church name Zhushikou, meaning Pearl Market entrance, dates from the Ming dynasty. This Church should definitely be on your list of Beijing attractions.
