Stanley Fort Hong Kong

Budget hotels near Stanley Fort in Hong Kong are a great place to stay since they are close to this historical marker as well as the lighthouse and the amazing Stanley Beach. Stanley Fort itself was first constructed by the British in the mid 1800's, but was then again rebuilt in 1936 after the original structure had largely fallen into disrepair. The current Stanley Fort is managed by the People's Liberation Army and is open to the public for viewing and on special events. Military weapons and equipment from several different eras is on display in this historic building.
