If you want a clean beach, you can’t beat the town of Tribunj, in the region of Sibenik Knin in Croatia. According to some in Tribunj, the sea there is the cleanest in the Adriatic. The clean, clear water makes Tribunj an excellent location for swimming, snorkeling, and scuba diving. It also has a historic fishing fleet, and you may find yourself dining on some of their catches at your EasyToBook.com hotel or another local restaurant.
The oldest part of Tribunj is on the area’s small peninsula. Once, the entire peninsula area was surrounded with defensive walls, and you can still see some of the remains today. The Church of St. Nicholas in this section of the city was built in 1452, and the Jurjevgrad Fortress dates from 1650. It was designed to defend the town from the invading Turks. When you get done with sightseeing, be sure to take in a traditional donkey race or a feast night.
