Pano Lefkara Hotels and Accommodation

The beautiful village of Pano Lefkara is to be found just west of Lanarke, on the island of Cyprus. The village is famous for its lace making. It is said that Leonardo Da Vinci once bought lace from here in 1481 which was to be destined to be used as an altar cloth in Milan Cathedral. It is usual to see the old women of the village sat on their doorsteps making the lace which is spun from Irish linen. The village is also renowned for its local silver making.
