High on a cliff, perched above the Sázava river Valley is one of the major attractions in Benšov, Cesky Sternbeck. It began its reign in 13th century Gothic, but fire destroyed it in 1467. Restoration took place in the 15th and 26th centuries. The walls grew and the fortifications expanded. The result is the current Baroque structure. The interiors comprise are one of the sights of Benšov worth visiting.

Visitors come to wander the Knights Hall, admiring the Italian Baroque stuccowork by Carlo Bretano. They gaze upwards at the elaborate and elegant chandeliers hanging from the ceilings. They stop in the St. Sebastian Chapel and admire the many rooms open to the public. They stop to stare at the collection of historic weapons and the rare copperplate engravings, a significant collection focusing on the Thirty Years War.
